Privacy

This site belongs to Winston James Menswear, a gentlemen’s clothier in Fredericksburg, Virginia. We collect as little as a shop website reasonably can, and here is what that is.

What we collect, and why

If you reserve a fitting through the booking widget, the booking service (StrixBook, run by STRIX Studio on our behalf) receives your name, contact details and the appointment you chose, so that we can hold the time and remind you of it.

We use analytics to understand how the site is used in aggregate: which pages people read, how they found us, what device they are on. We do not use this to identify you.

Who processes it

Vercel hosts the site and provides Vercel Analytics, which counts visits without cookies. Google Tag Manager loads Google’s measurement tags, such as Google Analytics 4, which set cookies to distinguish visits. You can block it with a browser setting or extension and the site works the same. StrixBook handles booking. If you open the map, Google Maps loads at that moment and Google’s own privacy policy applies to it.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with anyone beyond the services named above.

How long we keep it

Booking records are kept for as long as we are in touch with you and for a reasonable period afterwards so we can serve you well the next time. Ask and we will delete what we hold.

Your choices

You can decline cookies in your browser, use the site without the booking widget or the map, and write to us to see, correct or delete what we hold about you. Contact details are on the Visit page.

Reservations open soon.

We are still getting the shop ready, so the fitting book is not open yet. Until then, call us. We are glad to talk through what you have in mind.
